Story: Orca: The Killer Whale starts when Captain Nolan (Harris) and Rachel Bedford (Rampling) hunt a killer whale. However, the one they kill is pregnant and her mate Orca watches his family die. Orca doesn’t leave the cove and starts hunting fishing boats trying to get out to sea.

Captain Nolan must find a way to stop the rampaging animal who is now hellbent on vengeance. Nolan works with Rachel to understand the mindset and how the whale is thinking.

Verdict on Orca: The Killer Whale

Orca: The Killer Whale is an adventure horror following a killer whale that goes on a rampage when its partner is killed by hunters. It terrorises the local area and the hunters must figure out how to stop the rampage.

This movie looks to capture the magic of Jaws with a Killer Whale instead of a Shark. It changes things up by giving more motivation to the killer whale, which makes the audience cheer for the whale over the humans. There is a much more reflective mentality of what happened, giving the story more heart, instead of being a blood-run  chase. It should come with a warning because the animal sequence can be difficult to watch, even if you know it is all movie magic. If you loved Jaws, you will enjoy this one.
