Opera for Free, Beef Jerky and a Trip to the Beach Near Bournemouth

By Djridings @fivethingsnow

One

Drink real ale in the Uk. Half the calories of lagers such as Fosters and Stellar. It’s local and you can travel the country without leaving your bar stool!

Two

Visit Boscome beach and play on the musical chimes on the pier. The large one of the left hand side plays ‘oh I do like to be beside the seaside’. Boscombe beach in Bournemouth had to best one of the nicest beaches in the Uk – especially on a week day. We visited on a Thursday and was perfect.

Three

Visit Viandas de Salamanca and buy the most amazing sausage and cured meats. This London branch is their first outside France and Spain. The shop is situated a few shops away from The Savoy a Hotel. I have never seen a more elaborate and colourful display.

Four

Eat Mariani BBQ beef jerky at the Bree Louise near Euston Station. I’ve had a lot of beef jerky but thus felt quality. Have to say the best I’ve had!

Five

Listen to opera at Covent Garden market. You can hear the artists before you see them. These exceptionally talented singers finely tune their art. You may feel obliged to put a little bit of money in at the end but you won’t feel that you’ve wasted it! What can you do with a stereo, vocal cords and an audience? Please comment!
