Open Toe Season: The Importance of the Pedicure

By Alexa Alfonso @lexlovescouture

If you are like me, then this sudden streak of warm weather probably snuck up on you. Considering it was pretty chilly last week in New York City, I did not expect to be able to pull out my open toe wedges one week later. That being said, I did not take the time to get a pedicure.

Just as a FYI, it is a strong belief of mine that you absolutely DO NOT wear anything open toe without your toenails painted. It is the don’t of all don’ts! Nothing is worse than seeing a girl’s bare toenails in a pair of open toe anything (even flip flops). Nothing. You can go without a manicure, but you cannot go without a pedicure. It is a cardinal rule.

Does that mean I put the open toe shoes on hold? No, it means need to do it at home. I did not have time to do full blown pedicure. I needed something quick and painless. So, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color. It dries in about one minute and you only need one coat. The only downside is that it does not last as long as regular polish. Mother nature cannot make her mind up lately, so you probably will only be able to go open toe for the next couple days anyway!

There are so many colors to choose from. At under $5, it is a steal. You can get Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color at your local drugstore. Now you will never have a reason not to have a pedicure!
