I am a little obsessed with vintage clothes and constantly search online. Although, I must admit, I love nothing more than discovering an amazing vintage shop and browsing through the rails, imagining who actually wore this item and what they wore with it.One of my favorite vintage shops is, Rockit, in Covent Garden. My first visit resulted in sore arms from carrying the bags but it was all worth it. Unfortunately, I don't get to London as often as I would like to so London vintage stores are still a novelty and shopping online is essential! The blouse I am wearing is from Annie and the Mannequin, an online store which you can buy on eBay or Asos Marketplace. They generally only stock one of a kind so it is amazing to find something that no one else will have. I wore the blouse with a topshop ivory coloured skirt and a thin brown belt with gold bow detail. You can't see it very well in the photo, so I will do another post soon with the full photo.
I am dying to buy more from Annie and the Mannequin but for now I will have to curb my spending. Is anyone else obsessed with vintage clothes? Coming into Spring/Summer I decided I needed to change my look, which was predominately black skinny jeans, black boots and either a black top or a cream top. I have made a promise to myself, to dress in brighter colours, and you know what "they say", bright colours cheer you up!
I have a rule with vintage clothing, wear one vintage piece with one new piece of clothing. I think if I wore this blouse with an old vintage skirt I would look like I am dressing up to star in a old theater performance! I am going to wear this blouse with my Leigh black skinny jeans from Topshop and alternate it with the Topshop ivory skirt. Let me know if you have any vintage shopping recommendations!
