OOTD // Motel Rocks Haul

By Katiewilkinson

I absolutely despise the word 'haul', but there really is no other word the correctly describes the sheer amount of boxes and bags the postman handed me this morning.

As I said in my last post, I went a bit crazy this payday. I've been in need of a summer wardrobe upgrade for absolutely ages, and since I'm finished uni and nearing graduation, I decided to treat myself.

Motel Rocks is a brand I've been aware of, but never really made an attempt to research until now. I've always been a fan of the items I've seen others wearing, but I was never fully convinced. When I had a gander the other day though, I was pleasantly surprised. Good quality products, cheap prices, and plenty of offers going on. They also saved me a decent chunk of cash with my student discount, which helped sway me.

Unboxing

Since I've recently taken the fitness plunge, I've been after a new swimsuit. The one I've got in my drawer is ancient, and really not very flattering at all, and I do not feel comfortable in it in the slightest.

This one was relatively expensive at £39, but looks absolutely gorgeous. The material is beautiful, not like a regular swimsuit at all, and the subtle frilly ruffle effect is stunning.

It also has a gorgeous cut out mesh portion, which you can't see very well in the photos, but it starts on one shoulder, and flows across the chest to the other side.

I'm very excited to wear this! (I'll save you the image of me actually wearing it!)

Next, I bought a new pair of leggings. I am a massive legging fanatic, and own pairs in all styles, colours and patterns. I instantly fell in love with this pair, the Sun Moon & Star print is stunning.

The print is also available in a number of other items including a dress, skirt, bikini and playsuit.

I love bags, but I get sick of them very very easily, and as a result, I now currently only have two bags out of a possible hundred, that I am willing to use regularly.

I instantly fell in love with this diamond shaped iridescent shoulder bag, which can also be used as a clutch! 100% yes.

Playing dress up

As soon as I unboxed the leggings I had them straight on. Unfortunately, even though I got a size up, they're still quite see-through, so I paired them with one of my favourite mercy purchases of last year, my Dillon Francis B6 Avi tee! It's quite oversized, so it definitely did the job of covering me up a little bit!

This is, in general, the look I tend to go for. Leggings, oversized tee, shoulder bag. I know full well I should branch out a bit more, but this is an old reliable look I always come back to.
