Ingredients:
- Onions - 3 numbers , Sliced
- Red Chillis - 6 numbers
- Urad Dhal - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 4 pods
- Ginger - 2' inch piece , chopped
- Tamarind - Small lemon size
- Salt - To taste
- Oil - 1 tea spoon
Tempering:
- Oil - 2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Method:
Take a heavy bottom pan , add oil , Add the urad dhal , red chilli , xhopped ginger and garlic pods and fry for few seconds .Now add the chopped onions , and Tamarind . Cook till the onion become soft .
Allow the contents to cool down . Transfer this to a blender . Add salt .
Grind them to a paste by sprinkling little water . Now the last part is tempering . Heat oil in a pan , add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter . Transfer the ground paste from the mixer to the pan .
Cook till the oil separates from the chutney .
Yummy Onion chutney is ready to serve .
Serve this With Idly and Dosa recipes .
