One of my favorite trends (ever) is making an unexpected but definitely welcomed appearance this Spring/Summer. Instead of the usual color combo associated with winter, the monochrome palette is set to be our new summer fling and I'm loving it!!
For sure, it is a shock to the summer system yes, but certainly not an unwearable direction. Where sorbet shades and rainbow colours are the expected norm, this year they will be replaced with the black and white pairing in many forms, thanks to designers all channelling the monochromatic vibe on the catwalks last September.
Marc Jacobs went with stripes, Prada chose oriental, Jonathon Saunders tricked the eye with chevrons and Proenza Schouler went graphic.
My "One Stop Shop" outfit choice for this week is a monochrome ensemble from Warehouse; my latest "shopping crush". I opted for simple clean lines and minimal patterns for this monochromatic outfit, as I'm still on a colour-blocking fest. Finished off with uncomplicated silver accessories.
I have a habit of forgetting how great the styles are at Warehouse, my first port of calls are usually River Island and New Look these days but looking for a more age appropriate brand, I think Warehouse will become on of my go-to stores in the future, so look out for more stunning styles from their rails.
How will you be wearing the monochrome trend?? Don't forget to comment below and leave me links to pieces you are lusting after.
