So Hubby and I are on a search for the best sushi place in the Capital Region. We almost always eat Sushi with my Stepson, Stepdaughter, Stepson in law and Granddaughter and you've probably read about the experience about our former go to sushi place. We are a sushi loving family, so we're on a mission.
Last night we tried a place in Albany on New Scotland. Last night there weren't any places available on New Scotland so we had to park on a side street and walk. I had no problem with it. As I said to my husband when we got out of the vehicle "In the old days I'd be bitching about parking so far away" to which he responded "We might not have even tried this in the past".
There was a time when I would have wanted to park in front of a place, otherwise I wouldn't want to go. We'd end up going anyway, but it was an effort on my part to walk there and I'd get all stressed out about having to walk "that far". Back in those days it really wasn't "that far".
When we got the door of the sushi place last night I just could have kept happily walking and walking. Back in the day I would have been thrilled to have arrived at my destination and dreaded having to walk back once the visit was done.
As a footnote Hubby said that I might have had him pick me up at the door.
Amazing how far I've come.
