Summary:

A smoking-hot prequel to Jennifer Bernard’s fabulous Bachelor Firemen series. If you love the novels of Rachel Gibson and Bella Andre, then this is for you!

Kirk, a.k.a. Thor, one of San Gabriel’s infamous Bachelor Firemen, certainly lives up to his nickname. He’s tall and handsome, with a chiseled body worthy of any Viking god. But he’d give it all up for one glance fromher.

Sweet, shy Maribel has no idea that Kirk’s been pining for her. There’s nothing he’d like better than to sweep her off her feet and show her just how exquisite their love could be. But Kirk has a secret, and he won’t let anyone get close, least of all the sexiest woman he’s ever met.

Can a feisty little dog and an even feistier little boy help these star-crossed lovers find the passion they both so richly deserve?

My Thoughts:

This was a very nice quick read. Kirk and Maribel remind me so much of romance in high school. You know the kind where they both have a crush on one another but neither one really has the nerve to say anything or act upon it. Kirk is kind of quiet and shy, and is being respectful of Maribel because she has a boyfriend/fiance. Maribel can’t help but make goggly eyes at the handsome firefighter each time he and his friends come in for coffee- she has all their orders memorized. But deep down inside they both are hiding something. Once they realize this with the help of a stray dog and Maribel son Pete, its fun to see they break out of their shells and let the romance begin.

This is the prequel novella to the Bachelor Firemen Novel series, and it is a great introduction to the series.
