“K.I.S.”
Simple is best. Keep It Simple. You get my drift? Life is complicated. Relationships are complex. Food should be simple, clean, and fresh. This One Bowl Banana Split recipe that I shared last year embodies these qualities.
Homemade strawberry frozen yogurt, simple strawberry sauce, with fresh mason jar whipping cream is simply delicious.
One Bowl Strawberry Banana Split
1 medium banana, cut into 6 slices
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup salted roasted peanuts
3 scoops strawberry frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream
fresh mason jar whipped cream, optional
simple strawberry sauce
1 cup whole strawberries, fresh or frozen
3 tablespoons organic cane sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
- To prepare strawberry sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat heat strawberries, vanilla and sugar until soft and a simple syrup forms about 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
- Layer bottom of bowl with 1/3 of: banana slices, chocolate chips, then one scoop of ice cream, then peanuts. Repeat topping the bowl with last scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Top with strawberry sauce and whipped cream.
