Chicago-based duo Ohmme have shared the video for new single ‘Ghost’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Fantasize Your Ghost’ on 5 June via Joyful Noise Recordings.

Combining the heartfelt passion of Sharon Van Etten with the artful and experimental tones of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the song finds Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart in bullish mood as it opens with heavy guitar riffs and in-your-face lyrics: ‘It’s what you want the most, to fantasize your ghost’.

As the duo harmonise over rough and ready yet quirky indie-pop hooks, they sing ‘I’m counting the days, acquiring the taste. I’m sick of looking at the stupid look on your face’ in a Bleached stle before then leaving the subject in no doubt about their attitude towards them and what they should do: ‘You had a notion to keep killing time. But the clock is a wreck and you’ve already died. So leave it all behind and like the others before you. Just walk out the door and don’t tell them goodbye’.
