October Degustabox

By Catty212
My monthly Degustabox has arrived. Filled with a great range of products and costing only £12.99 a subscription is worth adding to your Christmas list! The box contains various brands, some well known, others new to me, I love opening the box and finding out what surprises are inside.

If you'd like to try Degustabox yourself you can do so for only £6.99 for your first box (usually £12.99), you just need to add the codes BLDEG15 to your order. It's worth noting, there are no cancellation fee's no contract that you're tidied into and no hassle!

Cirio La Classica Passata and Cirio Chopped Tomatoes
Both staplecupboard essentials they're handy to have round. The passata is really tasty and is perfect for making pasta sauce, it's much richer and thicker than our usual brand.
Liberation Foods Oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts
Liberation is a Fair Trade nut company that sell a range of products including Fairtrade Oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts, Fairtrade Oven Baked Chilli & Lime Cashews with Peanuts and Roasted Corn. I'm not a huge fan of nuts, but the Oven baked salted cashews and peanuts were tasty and had just the right amount of salt.
Naked Marshmallow Salted Caramel

There were some rather tasty Marshmallows in last months Degustabox box. The Naked Marshmallows are made with natural ingredients and come in packs of three, they're topped with tasty salted caramel, and practically melt in your mouth. They nice but super sweet, one was enough for me.  Geeta's Lime & Chilli Chutney and Korma Curry Paste
I had heard of Geeta's but had never tried their products. The Korma curry paste is delicious, and was the perfect size four our little family. I substituted the cream in the recipe for coconut milk as I prefer that in a Korma and it was amazing. The chutney looks great too, it has a combination of Kagzi lime and fresh chilli. I haven't tried it yet but I'll be using it with some poppadoms soon.
The Snack Organisation Presents - Freeze-Dried Apricots
I'm not usually a fan of dried fruit but these ones were ok. They were crispy and fruity but quite sweet so I couldn't eat a lot. I think you'd make a great healthy addition to a school packed lunch box.
Kabuto Noodles Chicken Ramen
I think the noodles may have been my favorite Degustabox item this month. I took mine to work for a quick and easy lunch. The noodles are delicious and are busting with flavours from chicken, ginger, chilli, spring onion and coriander.
They're inspired by Japans ramen dishes and contain not additives or preservatives so they're a much heal;their option to most instant noodle products.
9Bar Original Carob Hit
This is Degustabox's product of the month for October. A bar containing sunflower, sesame, pumpkin and hemp seeds and topped with carob. They're a healthy snack that is gluten, wheat, yeast and egg free, so suitable for those with intolerances. They're ok as a healthy alternative to chocolate but they're not veru moreish.

Lorina Coconut and Lime drink

I wasn't sure what to expect with this but I'm a huge fan. It's light, freshing and tastes fantastic when it's icy cold. I hadn't heard of the brand but Lorina are acually a French lemonade brand who use only natural ingredients and their products are free from colours, flavours and preservatives.
I really hope I can find this in store as I'd definitely like to drink it again.
The Snack Organisation Presents - Sweet Chilli Rice Crackers
I've actually bought this before so I knew I liked them before I opened the packet. They're a handy snack and much healthier than crisps. You can also buy them in lightly salted and Teriyaki flavours. They have a little kick to them but the flavor is really nice and they're not really spicy.
Chip Strips
We were all very impressed with these handy snacks. The little man loved them. They're long crispy snacks that tasyy light and full of flavor. There were two flavours in the Degustabox, Salt and Vinegar and Smoky BBQ - both were delicious. I'd love to buy them again but unfortunately Im yet to see them in any of our local shops. October's Degustabox also included a £2 voucher to enable me to get a free pack of President Butter , but so far none of my local stores stock it, so ill have to keep hold if it for the time being.

I really like they box this month, it was nice to have more of  a savoury selection of snacks instead of the more common sweets. For more details on Degustabox, check out the following links Degustabox website: www.degustabox.com/enLike on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DegustaboxUKFollow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DegustaboxUK
