I had to make sure I was able to get to BOTH classes this month, because I am NOT lying when I say this.... we had some of the BEST FOOD EVER COOKED at class... this year! There have been a lot of really great classes, but when not just me but EVERYONE has a hard time picking a favorite food item- you know it's a good class!
For October we incorporated the POM European Garlic Dipping Oil into the following menu items; Twice baked Butternut Squash (YUM!), Maple and Apple Pork Tenderloin (YUMM), Chicken Salad w/ Apples and Creamy Italian Dressing (YUMMM) and Apple & Gorgonzola Jalapeno Peppers w/ Bacon (YUMMMM & HOT!) As you can tell, we had a lot of use for cooking with apples- perfect time of year for finding new and creative ways to use up those fresh picked apples from the orchards this year!
Keeping with the theme of apples, our dessert was an Apple Butter Caramel dip- I think I recall licking the bowl after everyone left ;)
Tell me- what are some of YOUR favorite apple recipes. My mom had trees FULL of apples this year, I have made two pans of apple crisp and a soon to be dehydrated batch of chewy apple chips- a fall favorite of mine!
Be sure to check out the dates for class in Nov. We'll be keeping warm in the kitchen with giving a few side dish options a kick!
