Happy Halloween: My favorite past Halloween DIY projects
Happy Halloween everyone! This is my favorite holiday and usually go all out decorating and celebrating. This year will be a little different due to Covid-19, and due to the fact that I don't live in a house anymore, so I can't do my haunted walkway. I'll admit I'm a little sad about that. BUT I will still be watching Hocus Pocus and Trick R' Treat! Since the celebration this year won't be as spooky, here are some ghostly DIY Halloween projects, decor, and crafts I've done in the past. Halloween Bookmarks
Perfect for the Halloween enthusiast who spends all of October reading ghost stories. All you need is scissors, scrapbooking paper, double-sided tape, a hole punch, and ribbon! So easy and they make adorable gifts!
Halloween scrapbook pages
I like to showcase my most cherished memories in scrapbooks. I especially love my Halloween scrapbook. I have some beautiful memories of Keira in there. It features past Halloween home decor, costumes, parties, and of course: Jack o' Lanterns!
My annual haunted walkway
This was the best part of Halloween for me, and the part I miss the most. The spooky music, the coloured lights, the pumpkins. The kids too scared to come to my door. Decorating my home for Halloween was the highlight of the year for me. I loved that kids came back every year, expecting to be scared.
DIY Dog Costumes
Since Hazel and Keira are full of beans, one year for Halloween I turned them into Beanie Babies. It was my ode to the 90s'. All you need is a color printer to print a large photo of the logo, double side take, cardboard, and some string! The best thing about this pet costume is that it's super comfortable and not restricting in any way. Aren't they adorable?
Mac n' Cheese Jack o' Lanterns
Bell pepper Jack o' Lanterns make the spookiest bowls for mac n' cheese. This is a great Halloween themed dinner I did a few years ago.
Make your own monster kids craft
I did this craft with my Girl Guides group. My Brownies loved this craft. We recycled toilet paper rolls and old tissue paper. I cut out all kinds of shapes and let the girls create their own monster, so each one was different. Look at what they came up with.

I love the tradition of carving pumpkins. I typically did 4-6 a year, and always made sure to include a pop-culture that the kids will enjoy.
