Obscene Amount of Blueberries!

Hi guys! Where would you like to start off… yesterday, or today?

I think yesterday sounds pretty darn good so…

FITNESS

Yesterday I totally rocked it at the gym after work.

I did 36.33 minutes on the cybex elliptical trainer at level 16. Why the weird time? Well, I was going to do a full hour but I was a little pressed for time. I quit after I burnt exactly 500 calories.

After my fitness I ate both my servings of fruit. Grapes and blueberries.

 

Yes that is an A LOT of blueberries.

And yes… I ate them directly out of the colander.

That’s called class. 

DINNER [& SUCH]

My Mom and I drove up to Gilroy to test out the commuter traffic around 5:30pm. The new job I was offered is in Gilroy and she thought it would be a good idea to test out the commute.

Gosh, Mom’s are so smart.

Gilroy is about 35 minutes north of us in Salinas so it’s definitely a little bit of a drive but the traffic wasn’t bad at all.

What else is in Gilroy… the Outlet Mall!!! This was just the excuse for a little shopping and dinner.

We were both super hungry after a little shopping so we decided to be un-picky and eat at the closest restaurant… Applebees.

We did the 2 for 20 deal and split tasty onion rings dipped in ranch dressing and honey bbq sauce.

Then for dinner I had the 7oz sirloin with seasonal veggies.

 

You know what, this sirloin was really really good.

I was a little impressed. And by a little, I mean a lot.

Just in case you’re wondering… we ate all the onion rings.

BREAKFAST [get all those healthy guidelines]

2 eggs fried in evoo with salt, pepper and dill. Hot magic lemon water and coffee with flax milk added.

Yesterday I did a pretty good job on my healthy guidelines. But I didn’t get any of my healthy fats or my hot magic lemon water so I wanted to make sure I got them today.

  

HEALTHY GUIDELINE CHECKS:

  • healthy fats- evoo
  • healthy fats- flax milk
  • fruit- grapes
  • hot magic lemon water

Now all I have left is:

  • fruit
  • tea
  • tea
  • tea
  • exercise
  • 8 8oz glasses of water

1/2 MARATHON FALL!

So guys, I’ve been training for this half since June and it’s going really really well. I registered yesterday afternoon so now it’s official! I’m running it!!!

I ran 7 miles in Tahoe last weekend with Max. It was HARD, hello altitude. But I did it.

I’ve got 5 more weeks of training and I’m feelin’ great.

Max and I are doing this 1/2 together while my family vacations in Oregon.

SunRiver is a vacation resort just south of Bend, OR. Running a half is a pretty great way to kick off vacation.

I also registered for this half that is 4ish weeks after the SunRiver one.

My good friend Sonia who blogs at The Mexigarian is doing this one and I really wanted to run it with her. We both run really slow and I think we’ll be great running buddies.

Pretty exciting!!! My fall has turned into 1/2 Marathon season.

WHAT HEALTHY FOOD DO YOU HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING?

Probably… the fruit. I have to make a really big conscious effort to get my 2 servings.

Giraffes!!!

DO YOU DRINK AFTER DINNER COFFEE?

Yes!!! I love it and think it’s the best idea. It tastes so wonderful after all the dinner flavors.
