The big theme of the election so far has been disappointment with President Barack Obama, even among the faithful. But some still have hope – including this pizzeria owner in Fort Pierce, Fla. who lifted the President up in a big bear hug when he stopped there on Sunday.
Scott Van Duzer, who told the President he started working at the pizzeria at the age of 16 as a dishwasher and just never quit until he owned the place, was beside himself with excitement when Obama showed up. Van Duzer told reporterd that he was a registered Republican in 2008 who nonetheless voted for Obama and he plans on doing so again this November.
