Actually Ladoo is a traditional recipe from Indian subcontinent made with gram flour.Loads of ghee and nuts are added along with cloves too.See the preparation for authentic ladoo which i posted before.I posted peanut chocolate ladoo,wheat almond ladoo too and these are my favorites.You can make so many variations of ladoo with so many interesting ingredients.I chose my favorite ingredients oats,chocolate and made these yummy bites with traditional cardamom flavor.I used roasted almonds and directly blend with sugar.The storage capacity for these ladoos are minimum 3 days and it stay for weeks if we store in refrigerator.You can also guide children to do this and it can be made in minutes and gone in seconds ;)Lets move on making,
OATS CHOCOLATE LADOO
Ingredients for making
- Oats - 1 cup
- Cocoa powder -1 1/2 tablespoons
- Almonds -1/4 cup
- Sugar -3 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder -1/2 teaspoon
- Ghee - as needed
How to make
Dry roast the 1 cup of oats in a dry wok without browning them.Make this in a medium flame.After it get roast well,remove from heat and transfer it to a bowl.Cool until it get warm,it must be tolerate by your hands.
Then take the blender jar and add almonds,sugar,roasted oats and blend for two pulses.
It should not be too powdery,it should be little coarse.Transfer it to deep plate.
Then add cardamom powder and cocoa powder and mix well.Now you have to speed up the process.
Add ghee immediately and make ladoos so tightly.Once it start to cool,you did not able to make ladoos.
Make ladoos quickly once the mixture is warm.Arrange the ladoos in a tray and refrigerate them in the refrigerator for an hour for setting.
Once it get set,it will firm.so don't worry while refrigerating.
Serve in evening or as a energy ladoo after breakfast too.
