While it’s natural to lose one’s appetite in summer, it can end up causing nutritional deficiencies in growing kids. But there’s one thing kids will never say no to – ice cream! So maybe the solution to low appetite in summer is making nutri mix Popsicles!!
We’re not talking about any ordinary Popsicle here! Little Moppet Foods’ Energy Nutri Mix is packed with whole grains, lentils, nuts and seeds and is ideal for a healthy energetic start to the day. You can have it with milk topped with some fresh fruits, but for the kids, go with a yummy Popsicle recipe!
Nutri Mix Popsicles Recipe for Summer
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon Little Moppet Foods’ Energy Nutri Mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon honey or as per taste
- Few dried rose petals
- 2 tablespoon slivered almonds
Method:
1. In a sauce pan take 2 tablespoon energy nutri mix and add milk and water to it.
2. Stir well to get a lump free mixture.
3. Transfer the sauce pan to stove and cook the mix for 10 minutes to get a creamy porridge of flowing consistency.
4. Keep stirring to ensure the mix does not catch the bottom of the sauce pan. Put off the flame.
5. Add honey , dried rose petals and slivered almonds.
6. Stir well. Pour the porridge to popsicle moulds.
7. Keep the popsicle maker in freezer for 3-4 hours.
8. Run the pospicle mold under warm water for few seconds to unmould the popsicles.
These popsicles can be served to kids as treats after school or on a play date. Serve the flavorful and healthy popsicles to your little ones and watch them vanish with a spark in their eyes!
