-Final numbers for Sunday night are of course not in yet, but we do know that 17.3 million people watched the premiere of The Walking Dead. 17.3 MILLION! 11 million of them were A18-49 and none of them were ME! I'm such a wimp when it comes to scary stuff. So many of you tell me to grow a pair and get on this show, but I just can't do it. Congrats to all of you guys though. The show OF COURSE, has already been renewed for another season.
THE SHOWS Homeland
That's all it took to get Quinn to come back? Just for Carrie to beg him? I sort of liked the idea of Quinn and his motel manager just hangin together for a while, but I guess if you have no other skills, it's back to the CIA you go, right? What did we learn this week? That even in the CIA, it's who you know and that smoking does apparently have it's benefits. Carrie got the lock down handled because Saul just happened to show up at the right time and he also just happened to have once been engaged to the US Ambassador to Pakistan. I must have missed Quinn falling for Carrie last season, but it will make his arrival in Pakistan a bit more interesting. What are the odds that Saul actually leaves Pakistan? Slim right? What do we think will happen to baby Frannie? (Worst baby name in a long time) I really think Homeland's back on track. Loving it so far.
The Voice
I didn't have any shows to catch up on last night so, I checked in on The Voice. It's Battle Round time. Guest mentors were Alicia Keys, Gavin Rossdale (Guess who he worked with), Little Big Town and Stevie Nicks. I'd really like to see Pharrell getting dressed for the day. The hats, the beads, the earrings, the sweaters, it's got be interesting to watch his thought process. I don't need to know anything more about any of the contestants back stories, just give me Pharrell at home in his colossal castle. The talent this season seems to be pretty incredible as every battle I watched was dead even. I don't know how the judges made their decisions, I couldn't have done it. I'm surprised that Gwen was cool with Gavin's bun. She was so obsessed with Craig's hair, she stole him from Blake. With Gwen so hair obsessed, I wish she could get some scissors into the chick from Little Big Town's extra large overly permed do. That chick really needs a hair makeover. Stevie Nicks looked amazing, do you think she's had any work done? Like I said before, when there's nothing on, The Voice is ultra enjoyable. THE OTHER STUFF-Do you think FOX is pinching themselves that they finally have a hit on their hands with Gotham? They announced yesterday that the show is good to go for a full 22 episode season.
-Anyone watch Jane the Virgin last night? I had seen the pilot over the Summer and liked it. It's getting a ton of positive buzz. Wondering what you all thought?
-Award season is revving up its engine again. Here we go…first nominee lists since The Emmy's. The American Music Awards and the Soul Train Award nominees were both announced yesterday. I noted my pick below in red. Keep in mind, it's not who I WANT to win, it's who I THINK will win. Hope I remember to check and see if I was right.
