NOSFERATU WARS One Shot Review

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘Vampire’? Some think of Dracula, others may think of The Lost Boys while others may think of those sparkly, pale things from the Twilight franchise. In Nosferatu Wars, we are told a story of Tarquin and Moria, Vampires during the Black Plague.

This has to be one of the first comics from the horror genre that I have ever read. At first glance, I was somewhat excited to read it. The cover of the One Shot had an evil looking lady Vampire (Moria) on the cover. The art grabbed my attention with an oil painted look to it. As I started reading, I was not pulled right into like some books do for me. It could be because of the genre of the book. It could be because of the story telling. The story jumps into some epidemic which we find out is the plague. There are some vimpirey things going on. Blood sucking and such. It talks a little bit of the history of the two main characters. Where they met and how they fell in love. What erked me was the ending to this 4 part story. I cant say much without spoiling the story so I will let you decided on it.

This story was a very quick read and was a nice visual change to the normal comics I do read. For the price point, if you are into Vampires or horror comics, check it out for yourself. The story wasn’t much for me but I will sink my teeth into some other horror comics and give the genre a shot.
