Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! – Now I have your attention (or not), allow me to share a few photographs taken in Norwich last Friday at the launch of the Campaign for Alan Partridge Movie Premiere to be in Norwich!  The prospect of a Partridge film has been rumoured for years but at last, the occasion is upon us.  Due officially to hit our screens on 7th August 2013, Steve Coogan and Armando Ianucci have teamed up again for the big screen debut of Norwich’s finest daytime radio host; it is the dream of a large following of Partridge fans that Alpha Papa should premier in Norwich.  As the campaign slogan goes ‘Anglia Square Not Leicester Square’ is the aim of this campaign.  Dreamt up over half a bottle of Blue Nun and some Camembert (beer and burgers) by a couple of friends from Norwich, Rob Wilkes of Creative Giant and Rafiq Turnbull of Main Source, the campaign has quickly gained a following and plans are afoot for a Partridge fancy dress party, with a ‘pure Alan’ playlist.  Properly policed. It must not, I repeat not, turn into an all-night rave.

Here’s just a few photographs taken at the campaign launch outside Norwich City Hall, including a cardboard cut out of the Chap of Steel himself!

Take a little look, then go ahead and check out the campaign page for more information and to lend your support.

Kiss my face!
