The credible sources have told Paknews that All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief Pervez Musharraf has expressed annoyance over the reports of rift between party’s General Secretary Dr Muhammad Amjad and Ahmed Raza Kasuri and has directed them to end-up their differences.
An APML leader, speaking to Paknews on the condition of anonymity, said that neither Dr. Amjad nor Kasuri have been sacked and both leaders will work collectively for the interest of party.
The APML Central Executive Committee (CEC), in a meeting held at Kasuri’s residence in Islamabad on Wednesday, had passed a resolution to sack Dr Amjad from his post for allegedly working against the interests of party.
29 off 32 members had signed on the resolution against Dr Amjad while party’s Information Secretary Aasia Ishaq and two other members Karim Khan and Hafiz Mahiuddin went against it.
The CEC was reportedly in favor of making Kasuri the new General Secretary of party.
Earlier today there were speculations that the former president has taken serious notice of the resolution against Dr Amjad the CEC membership of several signatories, including Kasuri has been suspended.
However, the APML leader dismissed all such reports, saying there is no sacking or suspension.
