Edinburgh duo No Windows have shared ‘Return’, the first single to be taken from upcoming EP ‘The Great Traitor’ (released on 9 May via Fat Possum Records).

Described in the press release as ‘A slow burning mixture of 90s alt rock and pastoral indie that sounds like something Buffy would have swooned to at the Bronze’ – anything that references Sunnydale gets our attention – the song finds Verity Slangen embodying her 16-year-old self and giving advice on dealing with her own autism, awkwardness and anger: I can’t fit into your space. Mould me into the girl you want to see.’

These musings are all delivered against a sparse, gothic-tinged alt-folk soundtrack that has elements of both Nadine Shah and Big Thief.
