Life from Japan is hard. Golden Week is hard. Instead of only being packed at certain hour of the day the trains are packed ALL the time. You might think I should just not take the train but when food calls Kuuki runs.
I still managed to stay in enough time to write this little piece on Minami Takahashi.
My favorite role: Sora Kazesawa (Aikatsu)
I know what you are thinking right now. You are thinking that this is just another case of my (bad) Aikatsu addiction. While I understand where it’s coming from, after all, I can keep on talking about Aikatsu for days if no one stops me, Minami Takahashi actually caught my ears in Food Wars. My life revolves around food and I am not sorry the slightest bit.
Minami Takahashi in Food Wars voices the shy and clumsy classmate who just so happens to be plagued by bad luck and followed around by the genius problem student who just enrolled. She sometimes has some cases of rebellion happening but they’re few and far in between. In the end she is the perfect character for introductions and narration. Which is not a bad thing in itself but I also could talk about all the flaws in Food Wars and its characters for days. Basically, I find everyone a bit bland and Minami Takashi‘s character just keeps the trend alive.
The good thing is that everyone is so bland or so over the top that her character’s normalcy is the very thing that’s made her stand out. She does have her outbursts but usually she is the most calm student of everyone and I thought Minami Takahashi did that well. She really might be the only seiyuu that stood out for me in Food Wars.
