No Rest For Bridget Boston!

Have you stopped by Newbury St's latest addition, No Rest For Bridget yet? If you haven't you're missing out on some much needed California cool in the heart of the Back Bay. I discovered the Orange County chain's only East Coast location a few weeks ago so I was super excited when they invited me to come in and play dress up.
Walking down into the store feels like stepping into your most stylish friend's fashion filled apartment and immediately feels welcoming. One of the best things about Bridget's (aside from the fast moving but well edited inventory) is that most every piece clocks in at well under $100 so you can pop in for a small pick-me-up (I'm crazy over their midi-rings at $12-$14 each) or a head-to-toe look that is still budget friendly. They have pieces for every event in the modern girl's life from work and dates to weekend casual and more formal events plus polishes from BUTTER London and my favorite candles from Voluspa.
It was love at first sight when I spotted this fitted, vegan "leather" jacket from Jack by BB Dakota. No Rest for Bridget carries a lot of Jack pieces; It's a popular label around Boston boutiques but I found pieces I hadn't seen elsewhere. I was totally blown away by the fact that it felt and looked like a real, leather jacket of quality but still manages to be under $70. Like everyone else this season, I'm mad for plaid but button downs get boring, right? This sheer tank is a faux wrap style is sexy and perfect for layering.
For my second outfit, I went hipster casual in another mock leather piece (isn't that mini skirt just to die?) and a knit sweater with an amazing draped, chiffon back.  And, yeah, I matched my tights and the beanie but it made me feel pretty. If I had owned the tights, I would have shredded up those suckers hardcore. Because when I was growing up in the 90s, I always admired the girls with ripped tights the most. I did bring that oxblood beanie ($9.99) home with me because it was soft, warm and I'm trying to incorporate more hats into my daily life.
I know I'm going to be spending a lot of time (and money...) at No Rest for Bridget and, based on the steady stream of shoppers on Monday, the rest of Boston's stylish ladies seems to be following suit!
