The Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi resumed operation from May 25 with strict restrictions. As of now, nine flights are operating per day, connecting Ranchi with New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

In between all the restrictions, what came as relief is passengers traveling to the airport or coming to the city from the airport, need not apply for an E-pass anymore.

However, the passengers need to carry confirmed flight tickets or flight boarding pass with them, which they must present whenever asked for by the Jharkhand police.

The passengers are also requested to maintain a time schedule and not to start their journey earlier than required just because they have a boarding pass.

The outgoing passengers must reach the airport at least two hours prior to the scheduled flight times and therefore, must leave their house accordingly.
