One of my favorite hibiscuses to photograph is the Night Fire Hibiscus. A tropical hibiscus, Night Fire is known for it’s showy red and purple blossoms. Like other tropical hibiscuses, Night Fire prefers to grow in full sun – often reaching 6 feet tall. They are hardy in the United States from Zone 10b through 9a – which means those of us in the mid-Atlantic region need to find them in botanical gardens – or head south to find them outdoors.

For those of you who know my love of brightly colored flowers – you can see why the Night Fire Hibiscuses are among my favorite flowers to photograph.
