Back in 2003, I saw Nickel Creek for the first time, and when I heard they were back together making music, I could hardly believe my ears. After seeing them again, it’s safe to say they still got it! Nickel Creek played nearly two hours of music from their entire repertoire of 2000-2014, even covering Fleetwood Mac. They played all the hits in front of the thousands that wandered down to the Prospect Park Bandshell, and for their encore, the group came out and jammed “The Fox” from their first record and closed out the night with “Why Should the Fire Die?”.
