A new NFT drop with big names in the music industry like Snoop Dogg and Billy Ray Cyrus is bringing together music fans and blockchain networks from all kinds of genres.
NFTs are moving into the next wave of Web3 with features that make them useful and help them build communities. This is done by a new collection from the Mint NFT marketplace and the metaverse entertainment platform Animal Concerts. The collection includes songs from all kinds of musical genres and from blockchain networks.
“A Hard Working Man” is a collection of songs by Snoop Dogg, Billy Ray Cyrus, and the Avila Brothers. Snoop Dogg is a big name in hip-hop, and he knows a lot about cryptography. The collection has highlights of both physical and digital experiences, such as digital art and perks at a concert.
Colin Fitzpatrick, the founder and CEO of Animal Concerts, talked about how all three of the artists in the collection have “major existing fan bases” and how Web3 gives these communities the tools they need to grow.
This collaboration between different types of art will be first shown on the new Minted Launchpad platform.
Minted Launchpad fits with the idea of collaborations between different types of media because it lets users mint, buy, and trade NFTs that are native to both the Ethereum and Cronos blockchains. At the end of Q4 2022, a small number of people will also be able to mint on Crypto.com NFT.
Not only do these collections bridge the gap between genres and blockchains, but as the director of Minted, Matt Wan, said:
“‘[It] will also serve to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 users.”
People who use the Minted launchpad platform will also be able to look through collections of digital assets from both ecosystems. “A Hard Working Man” was first announced in April of this year.
Snoop Dogg is known for his work in the crypto-scene. He has done a number of NFT projects and even made a music video with Bored Ape Yacht Club avatars.
In a similar way, NFTs have catered to fans of many different types of music, such as opera and country music with Dolly Parton’s Dollyverse.
But this mix of country and hip-hop shows how Web3 can take fan bases that are usually only interested in their own genres and turn them into whole new communities. Tools like music NFTs can turn listeners and fans into an active ecosystem.
