World Championship Scotch Pie Awards is now open

Scottish Bakers has announced the dates for the 19th World Championship Scotch Pie Awards and to mark the start of this year's search, Scottish Bakers is asking the public to 'post a pie selfie' of their perfect pie moment.

Pie fans are being asked to follow @ScotchPieAwards on Facebook and Twitter and post a photo of themselves having a perfect pie moment and perhaps telling us a little about it. All we ask is that entries are family friendly and the best snap will be announced when we also reveal the World Champion Scotch Pie in January 2018.

"Sweet or savoury, hot or cold, veggie or meat-packed? Butchers and bakers up and down the land have been pushing the boundaries of pie perfection for a long time but this year we wanted to see how the public like to enjoy their pies"" says Scottish Bakers President Craig McPhie. "For the first time ever, we are asking pie lovers around the world to show exactly how they like to enjoy their pie by sharing their pie pics! Simply follow @ScotchPieAwards on Facebook and Twitter and post your pic.

Get your pie selfie in and badger your butcher or baker to enter their pies at www.worldchampionshipscotchpieawards.org and they have until Tuesday 31st October 2017 to enter their prized pie creations into the most prestigious pie competition in the land.
