16 pubs are to close in the Wetherspoon chain as part of a UK wide shake-up. We heard some rumours recently that The Cross Keys in Peebles was one, and indeed it is on the list.
As far as we know, the bars will continue to trade until a buyer has been found. No news on what will happen if no buyer is found.
