Our British Catholic award-winning theologian and poet, Christopher Villiers, will be giving a Poetry Reading on Thursday, July 14, from his book Sonnets From the Spirit at Saint Gregory's House, 1 Canterbury Road, Oxford, United Kingdom. The reading will take place during the morning session of the Sacred and Secular in Life and Art organized by the Ainos Cultural Society, the University of Winchester, and the Fellowship of Saint Alban and Saint Sergius. Participants include Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia, Aidan Hart, Rebecca White, and Andrew Louth.

Sonnets From the Spirit, released late last year by Hope and Life Press, contains an anthology of 52 icons in poetry from major episodes in Scripture, written according to the ancient practice of midrash and illustrated by great works of sacred art. The book provides readers with a little feel for God working through, and sometimes despite, very human people whose strengths and weaknesses greatly resembled those of 21st century humankind. Sonnets From the Spirit is available in paperback and ebook editions from Amazon globally, directly from Hope and Life Press, and major booksellers.
