New York Fashion Week: Ruffian F/W 2012

Ruffian designers Claude Morais & Brian Wolk take their bow

The designers of Ruffian attributed the inspiration behind this morning's show to a "poetic co-inhabitance of formality & modernism." Think Victorian shapes walking seamlessly alongside glamourous tailored leather. It was all about the silhouette: slim, sleek, nipped in the waist, and sometimes topped with a structured hat.
Models walk the finale

Where there weren't glen plaids and tweeds, there were gorgeous jewel tones in sexy silk georgette and velvet. And for the Downtown Abbey fans, a high-neck ruffle blouse under a short cashmere jacket looked equally fresh and classic, matched back to a slim herringbone skirt.
