New York City's Easter Parade

By Killerfillers @killrfillr

The plan was to visit Philly – at least visit Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Museum of Art , Independence Hall and indulge on some authentic Philly Cheesesteak.Somehow we found ourselves on the Flatiron district walking all the way from 23rdand into 42nd St filled with revelers adorned with crazy hats and outlandish costumes.

Passing by the St. Patrick’s Cathedral it was there that we realized that it was the celebration of the most important day on the Christian calendar – Easter Sunday. Toinks!

one of the over the top creations.

Compare to a typical parade this is a less organized event with no apparent structure - no timeline, no marching bands or even floats. As for us we just enjoy wandering and seeing the spectacle of revelers in their costumes.
