The Pour My Beer system is a beer serving station that allows patrons to pour their own beer while cutting cost and waste for the restaurant or bar. The process is simple; the establishment issues the guest a wristband or card with an embedded RFID chip. The customer scans the card at a reader and is granted access to the tap. The customer pours their beer at their convenience and their payment is automatically transacted.
The system is quick and convenient and reduces the need to lag down a bartender every time a customer would like another drink. Safeguards are built into the system to prevent over-serving as well to ensure responsible consumption. Pour My Beer gives consumers the flexibility to purchase beer in the quantity they desire, be it a small sample or a full pint. Businesses get the advantage of reduced waste and “give-away” with an average savings of nearly 23% per keg of beer.
Azucena is named for founder Joseph Baider’s mother who has the same name. The name refers to a white lily flower, but for the budding company it stands for purity, simplicity and a drive for growth. Baider hopes to model his business on a foundation of sound practices and generosity.
The restaurant will serve a wide selection of wraps and meals that are freshly prepared using locally-sourced ingredient. In keeping with his commitment to the local community, build out of the new space was completed by local carpenters and former felons given a second chance on life.
The restaurant’s grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
