Thank you Ash, who sent me the first set of photos featuring some fab new finds at Asda!
Jaffa Cake Flavour Spread: Oh my! This chocolate and orange flavoured swirl looks set to rival the innovative Custard Cream Spread from last year. I wonder if this Jaffa Cake Flavour Spread will be as popular? £1.54p at Asda.
Asda Peanut Butter With Chocolate Chunks: Looking online I also spotted this Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chunks. I love peanut butter with chocolate spread so this one sounds great to me! £1.34p at Asda.
Hartley's Glitter Jelly: Yes, you read that right - GLITTER JELLY. Get this in my basket now!! There are two varieties Strawberry and Raspberry.£0.75p each at Asda.
Hartley's What's Your Flavour Jelly: I'm geniunely not sure what this product is - it looks like a some kind of jelly drink mix? I can't find anything about it online so if you have any idea then please leave a comment below!
Update: Thanks to Chelsea in the comments below. It looks like this is actually a jelly mix that you can flavor by making the jelly with whatever drink you like. The possibilities are endless!
Hartley's Jelly: I don't know if these are new but I don't think I've seen these flavours of Hartley's Jelly before - Black Cherry and Pineapple. I've always wondered why there aren't more jelly flavours available in the UK but I'll definitely be picking these ones up. £0.59p each at Asda.
Green's Dessert Kits: These Green's Dessert Kits look very interesting and a cut above the usual at home baking kits. There are two Make & Bake Sets; Chocolate Profiteroles and Tiramisu, and one Make & Chill set; Salted Caramel Dessert. I'd love to give the Salted Caramel Dessert Kit a go! £2.29p at Asda.
Dr. Oetker Mug Cake: I believe these have been available for some time in the USA so I'm pleased to see them released here too. Looks like it would provide a quick way to satisfy a cake craving! Will update with price - spotted at Asda.
Cadbury Desserts: There are lots of chocolate Cadbury desserts already available, such as the Pots of Joy range, but these new pots seems to be larger and also non-chilled. £0.69p at Asda.
Cadbury Desserts with Toffee Clusters: There also appears to be a Toffee Clusters variety available too. Let me know if you spot any other varieties in this new Desserts range! Will update with price - spotted at Asda.
Many thanks to Lucy W. who spotted the next few cakes and desserts at Asda and Tesco:
Asda Cappuccino Cheesecakes: Lucy W. emailed me this photo of this new Cappuccino Cheesecake dessert, also from Asda. Apparently there were a few other interesting cheesecake desserts including a Doughnut Cheesecake and Waffle Cheesecake. Lucy also let me know that Asda has new cocktail inspired celebration cakes too!
Tesco Free From Cakes: A new range of wheat and gluten free cakes at Tesco that includes a Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake and Victoria Sponge. £3.00p each at Tesco.
Fresh Cream Lemon Gateau: Lucy also tried out this new Fresh Cream Lemon Gateau from Tesco which she describes as having a moist sponge and a thick layer of fresh cream and lemon curd. £2.00p at Tesco.
Finally a few new products I spotted myself:
Minions Ice Cream Lollies: These raspberry and vanilla ice cream lollies actually look quite fun and I'm sure I'll pick up a box at some point. Let me know if you've tried them! £2.00p at Sainsbury's.
Collective Dairy Rhubarb & Vanilla: I love the fact that the Collective Dairy release so many seasonal limited edition flavours, although this new Rhubarb & Vanilla is probably not as appealing to me as some of their previous editions. £2.40p at Sainsbury's.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen Relishes: I was excited to see this new range of GBK relishes available at Tesco. These colourful little jars come in a range of different flavours that are all perfect for burgers, such as House Relish, Habanero Jam, BBQ Relish, Smoked Chilli Mayo and Blue Cheese Mayo. £1.99p each at Tesco.
Thanks again to Ash and Lucy W. for all the fabulous finds and photos. As always if you spot any new products instore then I'd love to hear from you - grocerygems@gmail.com or @grocerygems.
