The nationwide protests from All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) against the rejection of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s nomination papers and his arrest continued on Saturday.

APML Youth Wing Hyderabad demonstrated against Pervez Musharraf’s arrest outside Press Club. A large number of women were also among the protesters, who chanted slogans in support of former president and burnt the tires.

On this occasion, the local leaders of APML strongly condemned Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) orders to arrest Musharraf in the judges’ confinement case, and alleged the decision as part of conspiracy to keep him far from the masses.

The demonstrators said that despite of the life threats, APML chief returned Pakistan and produced himself before courts but the judges are victimizing him.

Apart from Hyderabad, Karachi, and other big cites of Sindh, the APML workers also staged protests in different cities of Punjab against the rejection of Musharraf’s nomination papers from all four consistencies and IHC’s orders.
