Today is the American Heart Association's National Walking Day! More and more Americans are struggling with obesity or weight issues but there is wonderful news... walking is the EASIEST and BEST exercise for improving your health.
Start out with just 10 minutes a day and work up to at least 30 minutes a day over time. Once you get into a daily routine, this will become a habit you can easily live with. And it will most likely help you live a longer and healthier life.
If you need motivation to keep on track, find a walking partner, or better yet -- adopt a dog! Dogs make great walking partners and provide a multitude of health benefits.
