True Blood has found another actor to take on the role of James. Nathan Parsons will be stepping in for season 7. TV Line’s Michael Ausiello broke the news yesterday evening.

The departure of Luke Grimes from his role on True Blood surprised many especially given that the actor was in a prime position, having been given series regular status going into the show’s seventh and final season.  Grimes cited the direction of the character as the reason for requesting to be let out of his contract.

Nathan Parsons recently appeared on ABC Family’s Bunheads where he played opposite Sutton Foster and other cast members as the bartender in the token town hangout.

Ausiello mentions in the casting notice that James will find himself at the center of a surprising love triangle this year.

Any idea what that might entail Truebies? Sound off in the comments!
