Three award winning writers, Gil Grand, Byron Hill and Jeff East will spend three days teaching, mentoring and performing at this beautiful remote resort in the Ottawa Valley.

The workshop will offer comprehensive group and breakout sessions Monday June 27th through Wednesday June 29th and culminate in an open to the public "performance in the round" by these remarkable artists on the Wednesday evening.

As an added bonus, these songwriters will host an intimate Meet & Greet for workshop attendees on Sunday evening before the workshop begins. Arrive a day early and enjoy this unique opportunity. (Additional charge for this reception and Sunday night lodging).

This Songwriter's Workshop will inspire creativity and generate enthusiasm through collaborative creation and interaction with other Canadian composers, lyricists, and songwriters. This wonderful event also serves as lead in to the Calabogie Mountain Man Festival which begins June 30th.

Some of the topics to be covered include...

  • How to create a well-crafted song
  • Generating unique lyrical ideas and strong subject material
  • How to make your songs stand out and get played
  • How to collaborate with others or go solo
  • Tips for producing great demos and getting your songs heard by the right people

The three day workshop will culminate in an exclusive "in the round" performance by Gil, Byron and Jeffrey where you'll get to enjoy unique renditions of their hits and hear the stories behind the songs.
