According to NASA, the demonstration video was created with data collected from NASA’s models for climate and weather trends. As the 21st century progresses the temperatures and rainfall is expected to change considerably around the world. NASA says that “in general the mid latitude and sub tropical dry regions are projected to see less precipitation while the mid latitude wet regions could see more precipitation. The poles and high latitudes are also expected to have more precipitation.”
