Have you ever wondered how NASA always comes up with so many details about different alien planets located thousands of light years away? Well, now you finally have an answer. NASA has released a new and a very educational video detailing how they determine information about Alien planets using keep observation techniques.

So, how exactly do they find information about these planets far.. far away? “By observing periodic variations in the parent star’s brightness and color, astronomers can indirectly determine an exoplanet’s distance from its star, its size, and its mass. But to truly understand an exoplanet astronomers must study its atmosphere, and they do so by splitting apart the parent star’s light during a planetary transit,” NASA explains in the video.
