NaPoWriMo 2020 – Sedoka 1

Posted on the 05 April 2020 by Cendrinemedia @cendrinemedia

For this fifth day of NaPoWriMo 2020, I have chosen to focus on the sedoka.

Also known as a double katauta, the sedoka consists of two stanzas of 3 lines each. Each tercet must contain a maximum of 19 syllables and follow the 5 / 7 / 7 pattern.

The two parts of the sedoka say the same thing but in different ways.
