I've read and enjoyed other books by the author so was looking forward this. I was gripped from the start and the book held my attention until the end. My Lies, Your Lies uses a narrative structure I love, non-linear, moving between the present with Joely writing the memoir and the past revealed through the memoir. The author also uses unreliable narration and misdirection which I also love. This is the kind of compulsive read you struggle to stop once you start because you have so many questions that are slowly answered and sometimes left with more questions. Who is Sir? Is he the victim or is he the predator? Why is Freda writing the memoir now? Why has she chosen Joely as the ghost writer? I enjoyed all the twists and turns and being led down the garden path. This is a gripping read.
