Hello! It’s me. Sorry I couldn’t resist the Adele reference. I’m also sorry I’ve been so silent on the blog lately. The past few weeks have been crazy, but I’m ready to be back! I have a lot of fun posts coming up so stay tuned!
Today, I’m excited to share my winter skin and hair routine with y’all.
Throughout the year, my skin is typically normal. It’s not dry or oily, and I don’t have to pay too much attention to it. However, this winter has been especially rough on my skin. The weather has been freezing, which has made my skin much dryer than it usually is. I’ve been using these MAC products for the past month, and I’m much happier with my skin now. I look much more hydrated and healthy, and the routine isn’t overkill or too difficult to deal with. In the morning, I wash my face first and then spray MAC Fix +. Next, I add MAC moisture infusion serum and follow up with MAC essential oils. I use just a half squeeze during the day, so my face doesn’t look too oily. At night, I generously use two pumps, because everything absorbs more into our skin at night. After the essential oils, I apply MAC studio moisture cream. Foundation and the rest of my makeup go on top! I’ve also been LOVING MAC lip conditioner. You know when people ask if you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring? This lip conditioner would seriously be on my list! I have one tube in practically every purse.
My hair is naturally very dry and coarse. I’ve always loved how amazing my hair smells after a blowout at Drybar, so I was super excited to try out their hair care line at home after a friend’s recommendation. I wash my hair two or three times a week and use Drybar Sake Bomb shampoo and conditioner. I switch things up every few weeks and use Drybar Happy Hour to really detox everything out of my hair. When I blow dry my hair, I apply Drybar Chaser shine cream on my ends. I use it every time I blow dry my hair, but this isn’t the product for you if you prefer to wash and dry your hair every day. It’ll look too heavy. Once or twice a week, I’ll also apply Drybar Mudslide mask.
