I’ll admit it, even though I’ve been in the press many times before, I still get a feeling of gratification when a major publication calls on me for my fashion and style advice. This past week was quite a big one for me.
First, I worked with People StyleWatch on their three page story called What Works at Work after liking the weekly series I run every Sunday night on my blog What Am I Going to Wear to Work Tomorrow? I loved working with the editor on this piece and, this being my second time working with this magazine, I really enjoy this publication. The issue is on newsstands now and you can check out this feature on page 197.
In other press news: I also enjoyed working on 5 Common Body Goals That Are Unrealistic for Shape.com. Not everyone can achieve a thigh gap or V-cut abs. In this article you can learn what is possible with the right fitness and nutrition strategy and what’s all genetic before you drive yourself crazy trying to score your dream body. While I am no expert on fitness or nutrition, I offered figure flattering fashion tips to help you look your best, no matter what your size. I particularly liked contributing to this piece because you know how I feel about the stupid thigh gap.
Lastly, Mom.me, a popular site for moms that, admittedly, I wasn’t familiar with because I’m not a mom, asked me what I think the 10 must-have wardrobe items are. Here is the article. I find these articles tricky because I usually don’t profess there to be must-have wardrobe items simply because we are all so different. Yet, I think I came up with some good universally appealing ones that I think you can benefit from owning.
Oh, and I forgot, if you are familiar with the email marketing company Constant Contact, I was interviewed in their blog about my Pinterest boards. Apparently, mine are (and I quote) exquisite, and Constant Contact wanted my tips on how I made my boards that way. Here is the article. Do you follow my “exquisite” boards on Pinterest?
