Verdict on My Mother’s Eyes
My Mother’s Eyes is a sci-fi horror following a mother turning to an experimental treatment to cure herself and help her daughter. However, what seems like a glorious invention, soon takes a darker turn, despite the growing connection between the pair.
This is a strange movie that looks to show what could come from a future technology with dangerous side effects. It focuses on a distant strained relationship between a mother and a daughter. While using this to bring technology together to bring them closer after an accident. It feels very futuristic, without being set in the future, reflecting how technology changes are right around the corner. The movie is filled with unsettling images and with a series of events in the second half of the film that leaves you shocked. It is effective, shocking and most importantly original in everything we see.
Final Thoughts –My Mother’s Eyes is a shockingly disturbing journey into a potential future.
