My Milkshake (Haircare) Brings All The Boys to the Yard

By Remielund @remsluxuryblog

I don’t expect miracles from a shampoo and conditioner but yes a little bit of me has wondered whether or not  the new Herbal Essences range will give me shamazing hair (damn you Nicole Scherzinger and your luscious locks). The fact is, I’m an advertiser’s dream, a bit of pretty packaging and I’m sold. Which is one of the reasons this cheeky little pink product found its way into my collection. It’s pretty, it’s pink and it matches my Tangle Teaser, so in my book it’s essential to life. Was it worth it? YES YES YES!

My favorite thing about having my hair done professionally is leaving the salon with silky smooth hair that smells divine. Almost all of my Aunties have been hairdressers at some point and as a result I’ve always been a bit of a hair snob. At home I usually rotate between my favorite Kerastase range and my old faithful John Freida duo with a bit of Wella thrown in for good measure. However, while they do leave my hair feeling silky, none of these products pass the salon fresh scent test.

I first discovered the Milkshake range at my current hair salon and I couldn’t resist taking home a few bits and bobs from the color intensifying range. I bought these goodies before I went to bootcamp which was a smart move as it wasn’t just my body that returned tired. Chlorine had left my coloured hair feeling frazzled and I couldn’t wait to reward myself with my new hair products.

The shampoo and conditioner actually smell good enough to eat and the leave in conditioner is the perfect way to tame tangled ends. They aren’t the cheapest haircare products in the world and they don’t come with Boots advantage card points (annoying I know) but trust me they are worth every penny.

Have you tried the Milkshake range? The conditioning whipped cream is next on my list!
