My In-laws Told Me To Eat The Body Of My Baby After She Died And Forbid The Villagers From Consoling

Monicah who has been married for over 20 years Painfully narrated how her father-in-law asked her to eat the body of her dead baby from head to toe claiming that she was the one who killed her. As if that was not enough he stood outside with a machete and forbade the villagers from entering her homestead to console her.

She was born and brought up in Gatundu, after completing her primary education level, she moved to Nairobi where she secured a job as a nanny. After several years of working, she met a young man from her village who promised her marriage.

They went back to the village to start their life not knowing that was the start of her problems. Her Inlaws have made her go through hell. Since she is hardworking and everything she does will succeed, they started cursing her but all she could do was kneel and pray for God to reverse the curse.

She narrated an incident when her 1-year-old and 8-month-old baby died. The father-in-law told her to eat the baby’s body from head to toe and forbid the villagers from entering her homestead to console her. She stayed alone with the body in the house for one day.

This happened in the presence of the area chief just because he was related to her Inlaws. One day after the burial of her baby their cow died and Monicah was accused of bewitching it.
