My Dream Bedroom Decor!

one / two / three / four / five / sixI have a slight obsession with creating mood boards at the moment, I have a whole folder on my laptop full of the random moments when I get a bout of inspiration, mainly living room and bedroom designs but also a few for girls bedrooms and a funky kitchen too! I've always had this dream to build my own house, completely from scratch (yes even getting my hands dirty too), then designing each room separately with different themes and colours, obviously all of these are if money wasn't so much of an object but hey, i did say 'dream' decor :). Colour SchemeI always change my mind on what colours I would choose, but I think now it's coming into Summer very soon, i'm looking at bright and vibrant colours, waking up with the bright yellow rug from above is sure to put a smile on your face right!? So I've chosen yellow, gray and white for the bedroom inspiration, exactly what Abbie's nursery was too, I love the idea of keeping the furniture kind of neutral but adding that pop of color so it's not so boring!FurnitureI have been really loving the French decor style recently, especially when it comes to the bed above, it's so pretty, elegant and I guess a bit princessey (thats a word right?). I just love the whole shape of it, the style, the size, the colour, it's the perfect bed and has actually been on my wish list for about 6 years now! Haha. I think it's important for the furniture to vary, instead of everything being french style! We actually have the bedside table featured above, it's so pretty and isn't actually too expensive either! AccessoriesI LOVE LOVE LOVE accessory shopping, I can spend all day browsing through websites picking out my favorite bits, I have so many cushion covers in our room I could probably start my own shop! My current favorite pattern is chevron, I'm kinda obsessed with it actually, not just as cushion covers but even bedding and lampshades! Whether your room has soft or bold colours, chevron will stand out regardless, plus with the amount of colours available you will find something perfect for you! The rug above is actually originally from IKEA for £10! Unfortunately its been discontinued now but I really really want need it, if you can find something similar please let me know, I can't find anything even close to that price! What is the theme in your room?
